COVERAGE – Weekend Notes (IATY)
“Yoga is for Everybody” – This is the philosophy behind I Am That – Yoga. A new yoga studio founded by Sebastien and Victoria in 2017. Victoria’s vision is to build a community and make yoga accessible to everyone by focussing on a variety of affordable classes.
Hidden amongst Collingwood’s backstreets, the pair wanted to open a laid-back studio and make it inclusive and accessible for everyone, no matter their fitness level.
The moment you enter the bright Industrial space, you get a sense of the warm and inviting environment; light and airy with lush green plants dotted throughout each level. A new rooftop area will allow outdoor yoga sessions in the coming warmer months. At the moment, it’s a playpen for pooches, who might join in a yoga session.
The facilities include showers, lockers, recycle cork mats and lavender scented eye pads to soothe and relax. The scented oils cycle throughout the space, creating a deeper sense of relaxation, away from the hustle and bustle of the inner city.
So choose what suits you morning, lunchtime or evening sessions. Each class is temperature controlled from a pleasant 24 degrees to a balmy 34 degrees. From Mellow Flow, through to Hatha and Yinyasa yoga styles. Candle light yoga night is something I’m looking forward at trying out. You can BYO mat or rent one for $2 at the studio.
Having attended their Open Day, this was a great way to try out their free yoga classes, meditation sessions, consultations, snacks and explore the afternoon pop-up market.
You may have spotted the I Am That – Yoga brand at the recent Mind Body and Spirit Expo. The duo can also be found at the many markets in and around Melbourne including the Big Vegan Market. If you can’t make it to one of the markets, you can find a beautiful range of essential Yoga products online.

We believe in in a targeted, personal approach when it comes to delivering our client’s messages via PR. Other PR agencies might see value in their brand message appearing in front of a mass audience through traditional avenues, and that has some relevance – but we also see value in digging deeper to find new audiences and appear in front of more relative and intimate audience.
Every bit of coverage we achieve is celebrated and then amplified for maximum effect.
